Sample QuickBooks cleanup report
A demonstration with invented transactions. No real customer data, signup, or payment is needed.

A sample ledger, a real scan
This synthetic file contains four expenses: two $280 entries with the same date and supplier, another $280 purchase on a different date, and a $1,200 uncategorized expense. The same detection engine used for uploads analyzes it.
2 finding types in this example
Likely duplicate transactions
1 item flagged · $280 to review
| Date | Reference | Name | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 08/03/2026 | EXP-100 | Example Office Supply | $280 |
| 08/03/2026 | EXP-101 | Example Office Supply | $280 |
EXP-100 and EXP-101 are a possible duplicate pair. Compare the receipt and bank entry before making a change. EXP-102 has a different date and is not flagged by this rule.
Transactions in uncategorized accounts
1 item flagged · $1,200 to review
| Date | Reference | Name | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 08/06/2026 | EXP-103 | Example Equipment Store | $1,200 |
EXP-103 is in a catch-all expense account. Use the receipt and business context to decide its correct classification; the scan does not decide that for you.
Example only. Flagged amounts are not proven losses, savings, or a reconciliation. Different rules can flag the same transaction.
What happens with your own file?
The free preview summarizes possible issues and shows sample entries. The $29 report adds the available finding details, review guidance, and a CSV export. You make any corrections yourself in QuickBooks.
The example has deliberately simple data. Real ledgers can contain grouped deposits, split transactions, repeated purchases, and incomplete history. A finding needs verification, and no findings does not prove that every account is correct.
